A jungle army base in grey daylight, deep in thick wet rainforest. Tents, sandbags, mud, a tall metal radio tower in the middle, and a safety net rigged on the lower frame. A giant alien — brownish-black, slimy, with long whipping tentacles — is climbing the radio tower with a soldier wrapped in its tentacles, pulling him up. At the base of the camp, a second soldier runs to the anti-air gun. Sound: creaking metal tower, wet tentacles slapping, shouting men, the alien's low roar, radio voices. Shot 1 (0–3s) — THE HOOK: Low shot up the tower. The giant alien climbs the radio tower, its slimy tentacles wrapped around a soldier, dragging him higher up the frame. He kicks and struggles in the air. Men run through the mud below. One shouts into his radio: "IT'S TAKING HIM UP THE TOWER!" Shot 2 (3–6s): At the anti-air gun. The second soldier drops behind the big gun, loads it, and swings the barrel up toward the alien — but holds his fire, his friend still wrapped in the tentacles. He calls on the radio: "Get loose! Drop in the net!" Shot 3 (6–9s): Up on the tower. The trapped soldier pulls a knife and slashes the slimy tentacle holding him — and drops, falling into the safety net rigged on the lower frame below. The alien, now empty-handed, slides down the tower after him into the open yard, rearing up tall and clear in the mud. Shot 4 (9–13s) — BIG SLOW-MOTION MOMENT: The alien is out in the open yard now, away from the men. The soldier fires the anti-air gun. Bullet time — a stream of glowing shells flies across the camp in slow motion, smoke and shell cases hanging in the air, smashing into the alien, slime and mud bursting off its body as its tentacles fling outward. Shot 5 (13–15s): Time snaps back. A big burst of fire and slime blows the alien backward into the mud, where it drops and lies still. The men pull their friend out of the safety net. Smoke drifts across the jungle base. Cut.
