A jungle command post in grey daylight, deep in thick wet rainforest. Tents, sandbags, antennas, and a big satellite comms dish in the middle of the compound. A giant alien — brownish-black, slimy, with long whipping tentacles — has ripped into the post, wrapped its tentacles around the comms dish, and is dragging an officer across the mud toward the tree line. At the edge of the compound, a soldier runs to a mounted gun. Sound: tearing metal, wet tentacles slapping, shouting men, the alien's low roar, radio voices. Shot 1 (0–3s) — THE HOOK: Low shot across the compound. The giant alien crushes the big comms dish in one set of tentacles while another wraps the officer's legs, dragging him backward through the mud toward the trees. Men scatter between the tents. One shouts into his radio: "IT'S GOT THE MAJOR!" Shot 2 (3–6s): At the mounted gun. A soldier drops behind the gun, loads it, and swings the barrel toward the alien — but holds his fire, the officer still in the tentacles. He calls on the radio: "Cut loose! Get behind the sandbags!" Shot 3 (6–9s): At the officer. He pulls a knife and slashes the slimy tentacle around his legs, breaks free, and dives behind a wall of sandbags. The alien, now empty-handed, lets go of the wrecked dish and slides forward into the open middle of the compound, rearing up tall and clear in the mud. Shot 4 (9–13s) — BIG SLOW-MOTION MOMENT: The alien is out in the open now, away from the men. The soldier fires the mounted gun. Bullet time — a stream of heavy rounds flies across the compound in slow motion, smoke and shell cases hanging in the air, smashing into the alien, slime and mud bursting off its body as its tentacles fling outward. Shot 5 (13–15s): Time snaps back. A big burst of fire and slime blows the alien backward into the mud, where it drops and lies still. The officer rises from behind the sandbags as the men run to him. Smoke drifts across the command post.
