A long desert highway in bright harsh daylight, sand dunes on both sides, heat shimmer over the road. An army fuel convoy drives down the highway, big fuel trucks in a line. A giant alien — brownish-black, slimy, with long whipping tentacles — has wrapped its tentacles around the lead fuel truck, crushing it as the other trucks brake hard behind. On an escort gun-truck, a gunner swings his mounted gun around. Sound: roaring engines, screeching brakes, groaning metal, the alien's low roar, radio voices. Shot 1 (0–3s) — THE HOOK: Low front shot on the road. The giant alien wraps its slimy tentacles around the lead fuel truck, the steel tank bending and creaking as the truck slews sideways across the highway. The other trucks brake hard, tires smoking. The lead driver fights the wheel and shouts into his radio: "IT'S CRUSHING MY TANK!" Shot 2 (3–6s): On the escort gun-truck. A gunner swings his mounted gun toward the alien, but holds his fire — the driver still in the cab, the fuel tank wrapped tight. He calls on the radio: "Jump clear! Get off the road!" Shot 3 (6–9s): At the lead truck. The driver throws his door open and leaps out, rolling clear onto the sand and running from the road. The alien, still wrapped around the empty fuel truck, drags it around and then slides off onto the open highway, rearing up tall and clear, the fuel truck right behind it. Shot 4 (9–13s) — BIG SLOW-MOTION MOMENT: The alien is out in the open on the road now, the fuel truck behind it. The gunner fires. Bullet time — a stream of heavy rounds flies down the road in slow motion, smoke and shell cases hanging in the air, smashing into the alien and ripping into the fuel truck behind it. The truck bursts — a huge fireball blooming around the alien. Shot 5 (13–15s): Time snaps back. The whole fuel truck and the alien go up in one massive rolling fireball on the highway, fire and slime shooting into the sky. The other trucks reverse hard as the rescued driver runs clear across the sand.
